And I won't be running a WAuction in June--don't know if there is anyone else who might like to run one? Lot 1--Topps 1966 #596 Astro rookies--Nate Colbert and Greg Sims. Colbert had a decent career with the Padres; don't think Sims did much of anything. A solid VG card with some corner dings--but it is a nose bleeder. Lot-2 Topps 1966 #574 Mets rookies--lets continue the nose bleeder theme. Bill Helper and Bill Murphy--don't think either one of these guys had muchof a major league experience, but they did make it on a Topps card. Another VG card with some minor creasing and weak corners. Lot--3 1974 Topps Reggie Jackson stamp--Reggie on the A's at the tail end of there three year run. Lot 4--1962 Post Canadian football-#87 Farrell Funston--I don't know about you, but how's that for a football name, Not! This gem from the first of atwo-year Post press run is creased, bent, and generally all around beat up--just like a retired football player. Lot 5--1964 Auravision Pete Ward--unpunched and unplayed, although there are a few minor creases. Ward is one of a 16 card set riddled with stars; one wonders how Pete made the cut. Most of these mini records are readily available. Lot 6--1961 Bell Brand Dodgers Maury Wills--Type card time--Bell Brand cards were found in bags of potato chips while helping introduce the Dodgers toLA. Sets were released in 1958 (really tough) and 1960-1962 (manageable). This one is creased, scuffed and well worn. Reverse had the Dodgers 1961 schedule along with Maury's 1960 stats--when he stole 50 bases. Lot 7--1962 Topps #401 HR Kings Roger Maris and Orlando Cepeda. Maris hit 61 and the Baby Bull hit 46 leading their leagues in 1961. Reverse of thiscard is pretty nice, but you can see the front--remnant of some sort of tape or stamp obscuring part of Cepeda. Lot 8--1974 Sugar Daddy Roger Staubach--decent front but appears to have been glued in a binder. Back is legible but the remains of glue are apparent.Heisman trophy winner served his seven-year academy commitment and then won a Super Bowl with the Cowboys. Lot 9--1969 Topps Basketball ruler--#22 Wes Unseld of the Baltimore Bullets. The centerpiece of a championship team in the early 1970s. A rather un-PC team name, but these "posters" were so late 1960s. This one is in pretty nice Lot 10--consigned by Mike Glasser--a decent 1959 of the human vacuum cleaner Brooks Robinson. Looks to be about good condition with rounded corners and general wear. Who doesn't like Brooks and his HOF career?
