Before I knew it - it was nearly 9 pm and I had been sitting with gentlemen (John) in conversation for nearly 3 hours. It was very nice to find someone who had questions and actually appreciated the level of conversation we reached. Anyway, he and his brother have been trying to complete the `78 Topps Football set and he had a picture of the want-list on his phone. He needed about two dozen card and I had him send it to my phone (it's so cool what you can do with technology). So I checked out his want-list to my dupe box and I was close but could not kill the set. Hence the call to OBC. I plan to give John the cards I have tomorrow and it would be FANTASTIC to be able to complete it through my friends here. Enough with my blabber - here is what John needs: 1978 Topps 73 (Irons), 283 (Jessie), 462 (Pillers), 466 (Brumhower), 504 (Bears Checklist w/Payton), 521 (Eagles Checklist), 527 (Bucs Checklist) Now I have the 3 checklists and I will be giving them to John but all are marked pretty good and being a set from `78 I would like to upgrade these for him. I would think all of these should be easy enough to acquire with the exception of the Bears Checklist in decent condition. Please if anyone can help I'm sure that John would be very happy and I can tell him more about our group of friends who love to collect pictures of men (and women) on cardboard. I will of course show my gratitude in the traditional fashion. BE WELL!!! Usually I'll be looking for (UV) something else. Most of the time I'll see it's just a box of UV junk and close it back up to let it sit for a few more years. This is certainly a direct reflection of my organizational system, which I have dubbed Collection Harboring And Organizational System (or C.H.A.O.S.) Yesterday I came across a few vintage items that have been gathering dust. One was a 1961 NuCard Scoops Joe DiMaggio - a hit to my own list. THANKS ME!! 😂 I also found the following cards that need more attention and love than I've shown them. I added a few that have been sitting in my dupes box a while to beef up the list. Please include addresses or you might miss out. I will try to spread these out if more than one person needs them. With the impending storm set to dump over a foot of snow and me working an overnight shift t onight, the mail isn't leaving here any time soon, so you have plenty of time to get a claim in.
