You must know that postal rates across the borber are higher than you expect. Well, Canada Post, in its wisdom, decided a while ago that if you send packages valuing more than $5 out of Canada, there will not be the customary GST tax(13% in Ontario) applied to the lot. The crazy part is that you always have to remind newstaff of this policy. I have my regular post office workers trained now, but when I go to a different outlet they always express amazement!!! So, I usually wait till I have $5 worth of packages(4 or 5) before I mail. It may explain some delays by us Canucks( I found out that long ago that expression what a derogatory one). Any Canadians have any similar experiences?? I have a goodamount from the 75 and 77 sets with none from 76. I pulled the black bar cards from these sets and now I have some holes to fill in all these sets. Any help would be appreciated. Also if anyone knows about the 77 set in detail I would love to find out more about them. It appears to me that there are so many options for this set. I have some three panels in a row and three panels staggered from the Hostess set. Individual cards from both Hostess and Twinkies. Also full (uncut) (2 1/4 x 4 1/2 or 3 1/8 x 4 1/4) Twinkies and Cupcake individual cards. SCD lists the Cupcake (small panel) as 31-135. I have a bunch of large panels in this number range. Any insight would be much appreciated. John Stamper ================= To: Date: Fri, 11 Apr 2014 10:52:53 -0500 From: "George Vrechek" Subject: Sets added FYI. Just wanted to offer this up to some of the goodfolks in OBC land and see if there is any interest. I just picked up a large starter set from 1969 Topps with lots of stars included. I'm just looking to recoup costs, so I'm looking to get exactly what I put into it: $275PayPal FF DLVD. 497/664 75% of the set. Cards range from P-VG/EX with the average beinglow VG condition, some are better some are worse. There is creasing, minimal MK, and minimal paper loss. It=92s far from a beauty, but would be a great starter set for the folks in OBC who don=92t mind an off grade card here or there. The higher numbers and stars are generally in better condition than the commons (weird, I know). Here's the breakdown of HOFers... All the League Leader cards except #2 Ernie Banks Walt Alston Joe Morgan Roberto Clemente Luis Aparicio Lou Brock Hank Aaron Bob Gibson CL Pete Rose Carl Yastrzemski Leo Durocher Bob Gibson WS Lou Brock WS Jim Bunning Willie Mays Bob Gibson Jim Hunter Don Drysdale CL Bill Mazeroski Phil Niekro Juan Marichal Orlando Cepeda Mickey Mantle CL Willie McCovey AS Rod Carew AS Ron Santo AS Brooks Robinson AS Lou Brock AS Willie McCovey Billy Williams Joe Torre Red Schoendienst Gaylord Perry Brooks Robinson CL Rod Carew Willie Stargell Rod Carew CL as well as 21 high numbers Also includes semi stars/non HOF stars like Gil Hodges, Rusty Staub, Denny McLain (31 win year), Rico Petrocelli, Tony Conigliaro etc. All cards are in penny sleeves and would be delivered in a 800 count box. With whoever purchases I=92ll also throw in as many hits as I can from my dupe box that hit want lists. If there are any questions at all, please don=92t hesitate to ask. ================= Date: Wed, 23 Apr 2014 19:31:32 -0400 To: OBC-Wantlist@yahoogroups.com From: Andy Subject: Monkees I have a lot of dupes of the 1966 and 1967 sets.
