At the rate of three cards per week (every Monday, Wednesday andFriday), I get to comment on each player's career, poke fun at the airbrushing job and wonder exactly why the people at Topps ever decided to use "that" If you're not reading the blog regularly, here's a link: http://1973toppsphotography.blogspot.com/ At the rate I'm going, I still have until September 2014 before the cards run out. When it's finished, I've decided that the best way to send the blogoff would be to run a contest where the winner gets a complete set from that year. It's the ultimate OBC-style RAOK for one lucky reader (although everybody's welcome). I haven't decided whether to make it a quiz (of 5-10 questions) or a straight drawing, but that will be figured in time. Hopefully, two years will be long enough to get another set together. Well, that's where I'm asking my fellow OBC brethren to help out. If you'd like to contribute to the project, I'll be happy to help lighten your dupesboxes. As of now, these are the cards I need...if this holds, I'll keep a list updated and send along a new one to this group about once a month. 1973 Topps: Cards needed: 291 10 11 12 30 31 50 62 63 67 81 87 107 116 130 131 137 146 150 156 161 165 166 167 172 174 175 177 178 180 181 189 190 195 196 199 205 208 209 220 222 225 230 231 232 240 245 247 250 252 255 257 263 265 266 267 269 272 275 276 281 282 289 295 296 297 298 299 300 305 307 312 313 314 315 316 317 320 322325 327 330 338 339 340 341 345 350 351 354 356 357 359 361 363 365 366 370 371 372 376 377 379 380 384 385 386 387 388 390 397 398 399 400 401 407 410 412 413 414 417 418 420 424 427 430 431 435 436 437 439 440 442 447 449 450 452 453 456 462 463 464 465 470 471 472 473 474 476 477 482 483 484 485487 489 490 492 493 494 497 501 503 504 505 512 513 514 515 518 519 520 521 522 523 524 525 527 528 529 530 531 532 533 534 535 536 537 538 539 540 541 542 543 544 545 546 547 548 549 550 551 552 553 554 555 556 558 559 560 561 562 563 564 565 567 569 570 571 573 574 575 576 578 579 580 582 583 584585 586 587 588 589 590 591 592 595 596 597 598 599 600 601 602 603 604 605 606 607 608 609 610 611 612 613 614 615 617 618 619 620 621 622 623 624 626 627 628 630 632 635 636 637 639 640 641 642 643 644 645 647 648 651 652 653 655 656 658 659 660 Contributors: Mike Dillon, Ed Watts, Bob Donaldson, Spike Glidden, John Dahms, George Moore, Lynn Miller, Pat Wattigny, Anthony Arbeeny, Matt Yudt, Steve Hitzeman, Tom Elliott Updated: May 12, 2012 Take Care, Check out my Blogs: 1970s Music Mayhem - http://70smusicmayhem.blogspot.com/ Vintage Sportscards - http://thevintagesportscards.blogspot.com/ 1973 Topps Set - http://1973toppsphotography.blogspot.com/ ================= To: OBC-Wantlist@yahoogroups.com Date: Sat, 2 Jun 2012 17:57:32 -0400 (EDT) From: typecard@aol.com Subject: 1949 Bowman needs Any help appreciated. To that end, I managed to pick off 3 of the last 7 71/72 Topps hockey cards I need in the last week, leaving me with just 4 to go. Oneis (of course) the Dryden rookie, so I don't expect anyone out there to cover that one for me - but without the Dryden, I need three cards: 65 Derek Sanderson 114 Bobby Clarke 125 Stan Mikita Aaaand, if you're checking your hockey dupes boxes, I need 11 more for the 72/73 Topps set. I'd be happy just to get any of the non-superstars & get the list under 10: 3 (Playoff Game 3) 8 (Stanley Cup trophy) 31 (Crozier) 33 (Ecclestone) 61 (Goals Leaders) 79 (LeFleur) 90 (Clarke) 100 (Orr) 122 (Orr AS) 124 (P. Esposito AS) 164 (D. Hull) I am trying to keep these sets uncreased if at all possible (since the restof the cards in each of these sets is in the VG-EX to EX range, with a fewexceptions, ) - BUT I'll gladly give a home to any of the above cards in ANY condition (I can upgrade later). Not that it matters, but these are sets I started back when they first cameout, so the wantlists have been marinating for a while :-) Thanks for checking, Tom Housley ================= Date: Wed, 13 Jun 2012 22:43:39 -0400 To: OBC-Wantlist@yahoogroups.com From: Robert Fitts Subject: TCMA 1960s give aways I found an old partial set of the 1960s from TCMA.
