The core of the idea is a live, shareable group of basketball card wantlists for everyone to work on together. Anyone in OBCcan add their wantlists, and anyone in OBC can edit others' wantlists to reflect what they're sending to them. It's automatically and immediately updated so everyone will always have the most current version. Here's the link: MARCH MADNESS Some guidelines for LISTING your WANTLISTS: - If you have ANY basketball card wantlists whatsoever, we'd love to see them. You can add your wantlists to the spreadsheet yourself, or email them to Aaron for him to add them for you. - The format is YOUR NAME, SET YEAR AND NAME, WANTLIST. This makes it easier for others to find the right lists quickly. - Note the tabs at the bottom of the screen which read VINTAGE and UV. Paste your lists in the appropriate section. Aaron will move stuff if you forget - no big deal. - It's okay to just add all your lists to the end of the page at once. You can then SORT them if you wish, by clicking DATA, then using one of the SORT options. But that's not really necessary. Aaron will occasionally sort the lists chronologically so they're easier for everyone to check through. - Please make sure your lists are WANT lists not HAVE lists, as it makes itmuch easier for the guys who are pulling cards to send you. - Please also make note of it, if you are working on a second or third or ninth - If at any time you make a mistake, just click EDIT then UNDO. Some guidelines for SHARING your DUPES: - If you have any basketball DUPES, we'd love for you to share them! - Please edit the list to take out the cards you're sending. It's not absolutely necessary, but it is very helpful, so the recipients don't get dupes. - If at any time you make a mistake after you've edited someone's wantlist, just click EDIT then UNDO. If you're in the process of editing a list, andknow it's wrong, you can just hit ESC on your keyboard and it will discardthe changes you're currently making. - Check back throughout the month, as there are several folks who keep adding new lists as time allows. Fleer February was quite successful. At least in terms of number of cards sent and received. So this month, there's a new feature: "RUNNING TOTAL." Each time you finish up a session of pulling cards to send people, count yourcards. Then go to the RUNNING TOTAL tab and put that number in column A torepresent how many cards you are sending. If you have any questions, just ask. Looking forward to seeing another great month of cardboard flying. ================= Date: 01 Mar 2017 22:36:38 +0000 To: Subject: Thanks Kev! DUSTIN SHIRLEY is in the 2016 North Adams Steeplecats team set. The team is part of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, and is located in North Adams, Massachusetts. Dustin is an infielder from Los Angeles, who attended Dartmouth College. Anyone have this card? Of course, I'm always looking for ANY cards of ANY players in ANY sport, with the last names BROCKETT, FITZGERALD, POE or SHIRLEY as part of my "family names" binder. A good chunk of the cards in there now are from Bob Shirley, with a distant second to Al Shirley and a third being Bart Shirley... Don, I noticed you live close-ish to the team, so I thought there might be an outside chance you have been there. The amount of help I've already received is amazing. Second, I understand we can't all work on the same time frame. So I'm implementing a very easy fix: Those of you who have lists in the DONRUSS DECEMBER and FLEER FEBRUARY spreadsheets can check and update your lists, at any time. Then add the date incolumn D, which will say LAST UPDATED. That way Chris - and anyone with a stack of dupes - can see by that date whether they should use the spreadsheet or whether it might be better to check back to your solo wantlist page. Everyone makes their own choice as to whether they want to update or not. You are also welcome to delete your wantlists from the spreadsheets if you feel they are hopelessly out of date or whatever. First, Ray Luurs pays a visit, courtesy of the 3rd quarter of the Super Bowl. Ray sent a card from 1997 Flair, which is one of my favorite UV sets of all time - beautiful cards with several numbered parallels for each player's card. Butler had three different cards in the set, Row 0, Row 1 and Row 2 (all different pictures), and each of those had a Legacy Collection parallel - those were numbered /100. And then there were Legacy Masterpiece parallels - those were numbered 1/1. That's significant, because back in the mid to late 90s, 1/1s were a new concept and therefore pretty rare. Two of the three 1/1 Masterpieces have shown up over the years, but I missed out on both of them. Anyway, love the card, Ray - thank you! Richard Labs put out a waiver wire several days ago, and on that wire was another card from 1997 - Donruss Signature Series autographed card. This was another really cool set - every card in the set was autographed and again there were three parallels in the set - red background (most common), green background (/1000) and blue background (/100). Here's a "this really grinds my gears" fact about this set: even though the entire "Signature Series" set is autographed, PSA/DNA will not automatically recognize the autographs as real because they're not officially certified. So if I want to add these to my PSA registry, I have to pay a grading fee PLUS a fee to have the autograph certified. What a crock! I bet I'm darn near as much an expert on Butler's autographs as the man is himself! /rant Thanks, Richard! ================= To: UVlist Date: Sun, 12 Mar 2017 02:43:58 +0000 Subject: UV thanks From: Aaron Shirley RICK LYONS sent two envelopes, each containing one vintage card and nine 1987 Donruss. They have lots of other deals though. Ialmost always submit using bulk services through PSA to take advantage of their prices, especially when I take risks on lower valued cards. Sent from St. James, NY on March 15.Back to the sent e-mails and on March 11, I had e-mailed Dan Angland expressing my interest in the 2006 World Baseball Classic set and a vintage FB wrapper. No Red Sox fan claimed them, so Dan also enclosed a 1992 Pawtucket Sox sked and a 1991 Red Sox Yearbook. Fun items. Thank you Dan! Is anyone else following the World Baseball Classic? The US is in the Championship game tonite v Puerto Rico. Game is at 9:00 pm est on MLB network.I am still shocked they are not selling out Dodgers Stad ium. Seats, which are cheaper than a Dodgers game, are still readily available. I wish I was out there, as I would definitely attend. I believe the set is from the first WBC that was contested. Looking to put together medium flat rate boxes full of cards to send out to OBCers. Here's the plan.... ONE MEDIUM FLAT RATE BOX $30- will contain at least 1,500 cards (probably 3-550 count boxes, which fits nicely in a flat rate)- I will try to put at least one team box (550 count box) of your favorite team in there, of the 3-550 count boxes.....if I can! Currently I have made around 50 team boxes with plenty of star power- Cards will be from roughly 1979 to 2016,with most ranging from 1981 to 2006ish- LOTS of stars, inserts, parallels, commons, semis- Hall of Famers (let me know of your favorite HOFer, and I'll try to make sure there's a few in there) and more...- I'll place at least one complete "small set" in the medium flat rate box....like Topps Traded, Fleer Update, Score Traded, etc.- I'll also pad the box with at least one"large card" AND an older Beckett, Sports Illustrated magazine, or Sport magazine- Shipping is over $13 a box, so I'd be netting some $16+ per mediumflat rate.....just to give you an idea. I can probably make more than 100 medium flat rate boxes like this. Please let me know if interested! Thanks! ================= Date: Fri, 31 Mar 2017 18:10:47 -0400 To: tradingbases@yahoogroups.com, OCTraders@yahoogroups.com, Subject: My Updated 2017 topps cards I have to trade From: KEVINM38@aol.com Hi all, I had a lot of trading so I figure it is a time for a updated 2017 Topps Tradeable list So here are my 2017 Topps Series 1 I have to trade 2017 Topps Dupes: Updated 3/29/17 2(2), 3(2), 4, 5, 6, 7(2), 8, 10(2), 11(3), 12, 13(4), 14(2), 15(3), 16(3), 17(2), 18, 19, 21, 22(2), 23(2), 25(3), 26(3), 27, 28(2), 29(6), 30(2), 33, 35(3), 36(2), 38(3), 39, 40, 41, 42(2), 43, 44, 45, 46(2), 48, 49, 50(3), 52, 53(3), 54(2), 55(2), 56(2), 57(2), 58(2), 59, 60(3), 61(2), 62(2), 64, 65(3), 66, 67(2),68, 69(2), 70, 71(2), 72, 73(2), 74, 75, 76(3), 77(2), 79(2), 80, 81(2), 82(4), 85, 86(2), 88(2), 89, 90(4), 91(3), 92(2), 93, 95(2), 96(2), 98(2), 99(2),100(2), 101, 102(2), 103(2), 104(2), 105(2), 107, 108(3), 109, 110, 112(5), 113(2), 114(3), 116, 117(4), 118, 119(2), 120(4), 121, 122(2), 123(3), 124, 125(2), 126(4), 127, 128(2), 129(2), 130(2), 131, 132(2), 133, 134(4), 135, 136, 137, 138(5), 139(2), 140, 141(2), 142(2), 143, 144(2), 145(2), 146, 148(2), 152(2), 153(2), 154, 155, 156(3), 157(5), 158(2), 159, 160(3), 161, 162, 163(2), 164(2), 165, 166(2), 167(2), 168(3), 169, 170(2), 171(2), 172, 173, 174, 175, 176(2), 177(3), 180, 181, 182, 183, 184(2), 185, 188(2), 189, 190, 191(2),192, 193(2), 194(2), 197, 199(6), 200(2), 202, 203, 204(2), 205(2), 207(2), 209, 211, 213, 214(4), 215(2), 216, 217, 218, 220, 221, 222(2), 223, 226(2), 227(2), 229, 230, 231(2), 232(2), 233(2), 234(2), 235(6), 236(2), 237, 238, 239(2), 240, 241, 242(2), 243(2), 244, 245, 246(2), 247, 248, 249(2), 250(2), 251, 252, 253, 254, 256(3), 257(2), 258, 259(2), 260, 262, 263, 264(4), 265(2), 266, 267(2), 268(2), 269, 270(2), 271, 272(2), 273(2), 274, 275(2), 276, 278, 279(3), 280(2), 281, 282, 285, 286, 287(2), 288(2), 290(2), 291, 292(5), 293(2), 294(2), 295(2), 296, 297, 298, 299(2), 302, 303, 308, 309(2), 311, 312, 313, 314, 315, 316(2), 317(2), 318, 319, 320, 321, 22(2), 323, 324(3), 325(3), 326, 327, 329, 330(3), 331, 332(2), 333(4), 334, 335(4), 336, 337, 338(2), 339, 340, 342(2), 344(2), 345(2), 346, 347(2), 348, 2017 Topps Bowman Then & Now: Updated 3/30/17 Bowman-3 Kris Bryant -
