Hello All, About 6-8 weeks ago I picked up a "dealer scum" package from Dale Sondgeroth that included a huge starter set and dupes of the 1983 Fleer set (about 2,000 - 2,500 cards). I thought I had some of them around but could not locate them so I gladly picked up the lot that Dale sold at a very reasonable price. Well, as most of you know my lovely wife and I recently vacationed in the Caribbean and I had to retrieve the luggage out of the attic where the 1,00,000 + cards from the late 80's and early 90's are housed. When returning the luggage to it's place I located the missing 1983 Fleer cards and to my surprise I had (3) 3200 count boxes of the bad boys. To say the least I spent quite a bit of time organizing this grouping and despite now having upwards of 11-12,000 dupes for this set I was unable to complete a set. Of course if anyone needs 50 cards of Dave Tobik (or just about any other player) I can easily help you out. I would like some help with the last (4) cards that I need to complete the set, they are: 1983 Fleer Baseball 70 (Ripken), 179 (Boggs), 327A (Brookens- narrow ¼” brown box on back), 333 (Jones). I have dupes of nearly every other card in the set including the Tony Gwynn and Ryne Sandberg RC's so I will be able to make a very fair trade with whoever can help me out on this one. I would also like to assist anyone else who is working on this set. I have already hit all the lists on the OBC "Year of the Month" project and welcome anyone else to send me their want list for this set and I will gladly send you what I have (I will probably keep the above mentioned RC's to trade for the Boggs & Ripken but all else is fair game). So please send your lists and of course let me know if you can help me out as well. BE WELL!!! Hi all, Bob D'Angelo sends his third package to me this week. This package was just as nice as the other 2. This one had 12 2008 Bowman Cards and 9 of those were of the Bowman Chrome Prospect variation Bob, Thanks for all the cards, Return fire is heading your way. Happy Trading, Kevin Martens ================= Date: Sun, 22 Jun 2008 18:16:00 -0000 To: uvlist@yahoogroups.com From: "T.J. Valacak" Subject: Thanks Ed ED SCHOTT included some Red Sox uv cards in with a few hits to my vintage. Included were a Sportsflic card, an Upper Deck scratch off card with line ups of the Sox and Yankees on the inside. An 85 OPC Mike Easler card, and a 1991 Greg Harris. I think if I add a uv set, I will go for that 91 Topps. Anyway, thanks Ed. I sure do appreciate the Sox cards. ================= Date: Mon, 23 Jun 2008 18:01:59 -0700 (PDT) To: UV List From: Lynn Miller Subject: Hank hits from Geno Bigtime thanks to Geno for sending me a couple of 1993 Upper Deck All-time Greats cards from my Hank list. Hello All, I just returned home late Saturday evening from a few day getaway to Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio. My wife and I, my daughter and one of her friends spent 2 days at the amusement park riding the various (17) roller-coasters over and over again. Upon our return I spent quite some time going through some 200+ emails and then finally got to the incoming mail where a number of you fine traders made sure that I would enjoy my return home. So thanks to: Richard Labs who allows me to claim waiver wire insert cards from this years Topps issue. Richard sends (15) assorted inserts that will soon be posted so that I can add to some of these unusual subsets - Thanks Richard. Gary Mandell finds me a few Conlon Burgundy cards of "Turkey" Mike Donlin and John "Red" Murray to add to my collection - nice find Gary!!! Lynn Miller connects with (5) 2008 Topps cards and TIGER cards from `80 (Team card & Future Stars) and `83 (Lemon & Tobik). What a nice surprise Lynn, thanks so much!!! Mike Mroz spies my recent post for 2008 Topps help and sends (14) cards for the uv quest. Thanks Mike!!! Finally, newest member John Stamper introduces himself to me with a couple`98 Topps Checklists and Frank Thomas, a 2001 Barry Bonds Race to 70 card, a couple of `01 Own the Game cards (Shaw & Aurilla), a 2007 Topps Red number (Wright) and a 2008 card (Ramirez & Youkilis). I'm suppose to be welcoming you to the group but thanks for the introduction. With a few eBay lots in the mix I have a great deal of sorting, organizing and filing to do - then some return fire to these and other fine traders that have sent item in the recent past. Thanks to all - BE WELL!!! REGARDS -------------- MARK
