He went back to the dealer to see if he had any more...he did, and Brian picked up a great group for me that arrived yesterday and made my day. He sent 22 of the Ducks, including possibly the key card out of the 4 or 5 sets - NFL HOFer Mel Renfro as a senior in the 1963 set. To top it off, he through in a really nice 1934 Batter Up of Will Ferrell! The box contained a lot of UV, but also included some 1948-1957 Detroit Lions cards and some 19699 & 1970T Football. Most importantly though, there was a 1966T #590 Bill Skowron which allows me to formally put that set to bed!! The addition of the Skowron card leaves me 3 cards short of a 1960-1973 Topps run. That spans the year of my birth up to the last year that I collected cards prior to moving to Scotland in Sept 1973. Two of the 3 I should be able to add this year (1967 Sandy Alomar and 1967 Brooks Robinson). The last one unfortunately is the elusive 1963T #537 Pete Rose RC. Somehow, I think that one will always be outwith my grasp as I can't see me ever having the finances to splurge what I would need to to acquire it (short of a lottery win, that is!!).
