I currently own over 100 movies filmed in Kanab; a few not so good to watch, but all of them fun. F-Troop's Fort was located just south of Kanab, so a LARRY STORCH autograph would "make my day". After F-Troop and several other movies used the fort, it was burned down (on purpose) for the filming of the Apple Dumpling Gang. Fellas -- I got quite the surprise today amongst all the Christmas cards from my wife's relatives. As she was thumbing through all of the Days and Soltys return labels (my side is Wagner and Ciabattoni, but I guess we don't do asmany cards), there sat a quiet little envelope from Schwenksville, PA. My wife asks me who do we know in Schwenksville, and all I could think of was that gopher that comes out in Feb=E2=A6but I don't think that's Schwenksville. Nope, she says=E2=A6it's from The Yudts. Holy cow=E2=A6.give me that! In Willie Wonka Golden Ticket-like fashion,a beautiful T206 Sovereign of Fred Jacklitsch drops out of the envelope, causing me to break into my Sovereign song and dance routine in the kitchen! Thanks a ton, Matt=E2=A6you made my day for sure! And I'll be getting something back your way in the near future, as soon as things settle down around my house. What a great surprise! One of the reasons I needed this pick-me-up is that the school shooting today was one of the High Schools in my town. That really shakes you up,as you can imagine. We have five high schools, with Arapahoe being one, and Columbine being another=E2=A6my kids go to one of the other three. And I work over by the movie theater where the guy shot all those people last year. It's crazy, and I don't know why it seems we're theepicenter of loonies. If you've ever been here and walked around, you'd find it hard to believe that that could happen in our community. Say a prayer for those kids who had to live through that today, as well as the one who's in the hospital. Yes, they are well-loved, and they continue to be so. Thank you Mac, I'll be starting to delve into some serious research on these. It is just a joy to hold and look at them. I asked for input on a new web page building site a couple of weeks ago and decided on Weebly. after many painstaking (and I truly mean it because I really dislike doing things like this) days, I have finally finished. before I post this onall the groups pages I thought I would put it out to any ofmy trading guys to look at and give feedback if you want and/or have thanks to all my friends, happy new year to you all. http://jdsvintagesportscards.weebly.com/ John Dahms 3260 Kingsbrook Dr. #601 Jackson, MI I collect vintage baseball and football cards. please check out my site. http://jd3681vintage.webs.com/ ================= Date: 30 Dec 2013 23:54:24 -0800 To: From: Subject: Before the Year Ends Thanks ================= Date: 31 Dec 2013 01:06:32 -0800 To: From: Subject: One more HUGE thanks to Kent GOTO ================= Date: 31 Dec 2013 01:14:42 -0800 To: From: Subject: Oh, Yeah, Yudt ================= Date: Tue, 31 Dec 2013 09:30:34 -0500 To: obc thanks From: Matthew Glidden Subject: OBC Santa Back from Xmas vacation and finally able to open my Santa envelope, which turns out to be from RICH NIESSEN. When I opened it to see a 2008 Seth McClung on the top, I realized Santa saw my secret UV list (no secrets to Santa!) and started hitting my last two modern sets. 20 cards later, he'd taken every single number off that list, killing both its 2002 Upper Deck Honor Roll and 2008 Allen & Ginter entries! Wow! I can take the unprecedented step of removing an entire page from my online wantlist. Thanks to Santa Rich and Happy New Year to everyone at OBC! When he sends a flat it never includes 3 or 6 cards. Lynn folds a full sheet up in his flats. This time, after seeing my recent post about the 2 year inactivity on my 64 Topps set he printed and sent 2 hits to that set including a Gaylord Perry and a high number. To fill out the "Lynn Miller Flat" he added 10 more from the 60T set. Very, very nice surprise Lynn. Everyone have a safe & happy new year.
