I would note that in category 2, both the 1935 and 1936 goudey sets are relatively easy to complete, especially the 36 goudey since there's no Ruth or Dean. The 1941 goudey set is extremely difficult to complete -- difficult enough that it might slip to category 4. I've been working on it for years and still need 2 to complete this 33 card set. I think Bama's in the same spot. In the cat 4, both the Delong and Tatoo Orbit sets are completeable if you've got a little money. The others I agree with, unless you're loaded, forget it. I would add 1933 U.S. Caramel to category 4. I'm working on an article for SCD that will encourage collectors to take a look at various sets from 1933 to 1941, if they haven't done so already. Category 1 - It makes sense to go after these sets: 1933 Goudey--not hard to complete, just pricey 1934 Goudey--same as above although the high numbers are tough sometimes Diamond Stars--underrated but easy to complete unless you go after the different back dates 1939 Playball--tougher than the other two playball sets due to stars and 1941 Playball--great color set, many key HOFers 1940 Playball--great set with lots of relatively cheap "retired" HOFers Category 2 - Consider these next: 1935 Goudey Puzzle--tougher than given credit for 1936 Goudey Game--very tough to complete 1936 Goudey Wide Pen--fairly easy to finish but there are variations 1936 National Chicle Fine Pens--tougher than the goudeys but not impossible Category 3 - Maybe consider these: Batter Up--Extremely tough high numbers...rarely if ever seen complete S&S--I have seen complete sets of these, fairly cheap except for the HOFers 1941 Double Play--easy to complete if you have the money, I would move this up a couple of categories 1938 Goudey-tougher than some but not as tough as the batter-up sets 1941 Goudey- very tough card to find especially in nice shape. I have seen a few complete sets but they were put together with a lot of money. Category 4 -Nice cards but impossible - forget 'em Tatoo Orbit--tough and reprinted a lot. Rittenhouse--tough with back variations, nearly impossible because some cards shortprinted for possible contest Butterfinger--seen complete sets of these but tough...dont forget there is a canadian version too. The top stars can get really really expensive in nice Schutter & Johnson--rarely seen and ugly...tough set as well...pictures look nothing like players Eclipse Import--another tough set, rarely seen and nearly impossible. De Long-have seen complete sets but these are pricey. I might move this up a level but price and popularity keep it tough Buttercream---tough because of contest/promotion...rarely seen in nice Al DeMaree--really tough game cards...seen a few in the last couple of years but the commons go for 100s and a complete set is unheard of...a complete checklist still might be unheard of. Ugly too. George C. Miller--nice cards but rarely seen...another promotion/contest card. tough to find, tough to buy. ================= To: obc-ramblings@yahoogroups.com Date: Fri, 03 Mar 2006 14:49:39 -0500 From: "Bob Reed" Subject: NCAA Tournament Interruption Hi All, It's almost time for the annual OBC-NCAA tourney. I need 15 people in addition to myself. Each participant will receive 1 team from each region with one of the teams being a 1-4 seed, one a 5-8 seed, one a 9-12 seed and one a 13-16 seed. The four teams you receive will have their seedings add up to 34 so everything should be fairly even. The rules are pretty simple. If your team loses you send card(s) to the owner of the team that beat you. If your team wins you get cards. Whoever's team wins the whole thing gets cards from everybody! Andy Cook won it last year with North Carolina. Space is limited to 15 people so reply back if you're interested. John Scott Gray and Robert Pigeon get priority since they wanted to get in last year but weren't the first 15 to respond so that means there may only be 13 spots so don't delay. I now return you to your regular OBC Ramblings. ================= Date: 3 Mar 2006 20:57:49 -0000 To: "George Vrechek" , From: "obcjohn@knology.net" Subject: Re: [OBC-Ramblings] Looking for feedback as to Collecting 1933 to 1941 sets I work primarily on color sets from the 30's. I've finished or am working on all but 3 sets from categories 1, 2 and 3. From Category 4 I'm working on Tattoo Orbit and George Miller and have finished the Delongs. Here's my view: Doable and worthwhile: All of Category 1, although I'm partial to color From Category 2 - 36 Goudey is easy and relatively cheap, 35 Goudey is a bit tougher than the 36 set, although if you have the money the cards are relatively plentiful, Wide Pens and Fine Pens are less expensive with the Wide Pens being somewhat more plentiful. From Category 3 - S & S game cards are a good easy set to put together in nice condition (lots of HOFers for not a lot of $), Double Play is not bad but prices are going up as collectors see the prices of the Goudeys and other sets go through the roof (do this one now), 38 Goudey is doable in low grade but will cost you a fortune for the Greenbergs and the Di Maggio's (I've been stuck on those 4 cards for 2 years), and 41 Goudey is getting harder by the year, especially the short prints. Category 4 - The Delongs except for the Gehrig can be found in low grade for not too much $ but you'll have to be patient. They are much more plentiful than the Tattoo Orbits and the George Millers, though, and it is a beautiful set. The Tattoo Orbits are extremely tough to put together as several cards exist as short prints that are not listed as such, and I mean SHORT PRINTS. Their price jumped from 10,000 to 17,000 in the last SCD. Been working on my set for close to 10 years and am down to 3. George C. Miller is maybe the most beautiful of the 30's sets with georgeous silk screen prints in art deco design. This set of 32 jumped to $65,000 in the last SCD. I have 5 and feel lucky to have them. This is my impossible Dream set. The Eclipse Import set (very tuff)I think inspired the MP&Co sets of the 40's but is not as crude. The Schutter Johnson set is interesting but very tuff. 1932-33 U.S. Caramel set is somewhere below the George Miller set in difficulty but very pricey as it seems everybody wants these guys. I have 12 and haven't picked up one in almost 2 years. Hope this helps. ------------- Original message follows ------------- I'm working on an article for SCD that will encourage collectors to take a look at various sets from 1933 to 1941, if they haven't done so already. I would appreciate it if any of you would give me your comments, observations, disagreements etc about the following list of sets to consider. Sets are listed in priority per my own initial thoughts based on popularity, appearance, price and availability. Price is obviously very important in trying to dent these sets. But that is just my opinion. As someone who is not really into the pre-war sets just yet (although I am moving that direction very quickly, so I look forward to your article), the Double Play is a set that I have been very successful at working on -- I am over half way there and I have not really been trying that hard. I love this set. It was the first pre war set I went after when I got back into collecting. The only downside is the cost of buying 4 Ruths and 2 Gehrigs. However there are quite a few cards that can be bought at a decent price. I'd then pick a playball set and one misc set (Fine pen, Double Play). Finally, I'd work on a type set of all the others. This will be fairly challenging esp. the George C Miller. I definitely think the 30's were the golden age of BB Cards. That has always struck me as odd. The 20's are thought to be the golden age of sports and was a time of economic prosperity yet the BB cards produced were not all that attractive, certainly not when compared to the T cards which proceeded them and the Goudeys/Diamond Stars which followed. The 30's, during the depression, produced some of the prettiest most colorful sets. Good luck with the article. It was my first time ever there. Great show with lots of stuff to be had. I ended up buying a box of 675 cards from 1933 Goudey to 1969 Topps. The box only includes stars and high numbers. For example, there is a 55 koufax, 63 Rose, Mantle cards from 60-66, 2 54 Bowman Mays, a 48 Leaf Williams, a run of 61 Topps high numbers, 69 Topps Mantle and Ryan, 3 53 Topps Berra cards, 53 Paige, 52 Topps stars, and so many more. There is a lot of duplication as well. There are a few football cards included like a 58 Topps Jim Brown, some 51 Bowman stars, 2 69 Topps Namaths, and a Bowman Large star. Anyway, I will be keeping some cards for myself but would like to sell the rest. The cards are better than typical OBC condition and probably average around VG-EX and above. If you want to send me a list of star cards that you might be looking to buy, I can see what I have. Since I just bought it today, I haven't priced the cards yet, but I can do that as I go thru them. Yesterday I was in my friendly neighborhood card store and arguing some insupportable position on National league morality and heritage vs American League arrogance and I noticed that the Fire Ball jar was empty. No more Fire Balls. I'm goin with gum." My immediate reflex to argue any point when in the store was hiccupped by a brief moment of consideration. How did I feel about that? I loved that he had Fire Balls! We always had Fire Balls at the little league field. It was a natural association for me. AND, Rick always had Atomic Fire Balls. The real On the other hand, there was ALWAYS bubble gum. Bazooka bubble So naturally I found pleasure in saying, "Fine, where the hell is the gum?" The fact that this was presented free to me, the patron was of no interest to me. It was my job to be contentious. I am convinced that if not for my bombastic visits Rick would have closed years ago. He is, after all, a retired Rick stepped to the rear and came back with a large plastic jar, not part of my 1965 gum experience, but an acceptable presentation. "Double Bubble??!! That's not ball park gum!!" I barked. "It certainly is. That is what we chewed." Rick replied. Well, this went on for 1/2 an hour when my wife called to remind me that I had done exactly nothing all day so I picked up a fresh Beckett and 2 packs of worthless cards, bid Rick a fond farewell and smiled on how wonderful it was that SpringTraining was here. I don't have a chance to communicate a lot on the ramblings, however, I had to just sit down and type to let out some of my emotions about this great man named Kirby, who passed from this world today - at the same age as myself - 45 year old. We all choose our sports heroes for different reasons. Some pick people who are the best athletes. Some pick players that have a great personality. Some pick athletes that help other people through generosity. Some choose heros because they are magnetically attracted to them. Some pick heroes because you can tell they love the game. Some people choose an idol because they are kind and gentle with kids and their fans. Some pick heroes becaue they have heart. Others pick their favorites because there is just something that they appear to possess that very few if any ever have and it is hard to define or describe what that is. Some people pick a hero because of their heart. Some just simply pick a hero because of their smile. Well all of these reasons that I have just listed above are the reasons why Kirby Puckett was a hero of mine. He was a hero of all of my boys. He was a hero to almost every Twins fan that I know here in Fargo, North Dakota as well as in the state of Minnesota! I had the honor to meet Kirby Puckett more than once and he indeed was all of the above. There are few that have ever played the game like he did and I am willing to bet that there will be few to ever play and enjoy the game and touch the fans like Kirby did - ever again. Whether you are a believer or not - please say a special prayer for Kirby and his family tonight! Till Next Time..... Play Ball! Washington Report + more (lots more) Hi gang, It's probably been a while since I've posted one of these, even though I haven't missed a FW show in a long time. The trip started out like it usually does, with me packing everything 15 minutes before I'm supposed to head out the door. For the 457th consecutive time, I forgot to print out my wantlist, which really isn't that big of a deal because 1) most of it is committed to memory and 2) I usually end up buying a bunch of stuff that isn't on it anyway. Somewhere on the Mass Pike, I realized that I had left my checkbook at home too. I figured it was for the better, since I would spend less at the show that way. The trip took about six hours because I went the 'stupid way'. I usually hit rush hour traffic getting onto I-78 in Jersey, so I tried to avoid that by getting on I-80. I figured this would not only save me fighting traffic, but since I'd be able to get on the PA turnpike from there, the extra distance wasn't a factor. WRONG! Not only is the route about 60 miles longer, but the traffic was twice as bad (four lanes of bumper to bumper instead of two). I wasn't planning on attending the show Friday night anyway, so I went straight to Joe Greco's. There I watched a movie and went right to bed afterwards, since I only had a brief nap after working the night before making the drive down there. The next morning, I woke up early and was treated to a nice home made breakfast from Leah before driving over the Expo Center. The doors had already been open for about a half hour by the time I made it down there, so I was surprised to see a line of people still milling about in the lobby by the show entrance. Usually I had my EPSCC membership card and walked right past it, but since the Expo Center was sold and they weren't renewing any memberships until a new venue was finalized, I had to fork over the $6 admission (with a coupon that discounted a buck). I wasn't sure if there was some kind of line to get tickets or get into the show. There were two ticket windows open and no one was going to the second window, so I walked right up to it and paid. After filling out my door prize entry, I didn't see anyone else going into the show, so I played dumb (not a stretch for me) and went inside. I guess I might've heard something if I had cut off a whole bunch of people. Once inside, I started at one end and systematically made my way through the aisles. It wasn't long before I bumped into Rob Gioia, who was talking to Andy Cook along with Dan Angland, who I met for the first time. My first purchases of the day were three numerical team card variations from 1958 for about six bucks apiece (two Reds and a Tigers team). Not a bad start. Later, I found a 1966 Topps FB starter set at Kevin Savage's table and a few other cards that pretty much put an end to my cash (although I was originally going to pay for it with a credit card, I didn't spend too much after that, so I ended up paying cash). I bought a card here and there at Roger Neufeldt, Greg Fisher and Nick Kirksey's tables and then spent most of the day hanging out at the OBC commandeered table at the food court or trying to hunt down cards on other people's lists without a lot of success. The swap session at the pizza place afterwards was great. We had a pretty good turnout and I came away with about a thousand cards from my wantlist. OK, now before you all go insane trying to figure out how that happened, most of the hits came from Mac Wubben, who happened to open a vending case from about 21 years ago - my secret UV project year. I also got envelopes from or raided the dupes boxes of Dan Angland, Rob Gioia. Ed Schott and probably one or two more people I'm forgetting. A couple others also helped defray the cost of the show by appeasing my Dealer Scum alter ego. I even got some cookies for the long drive home thanks to Paige and the absence of Steve Rittenberg. As always, it was great just hanging out and sharing a few laughs with a bunch of cardboard nuts. So thanks to Rob, Ant, Fuge + Paige, Matt, Ed, Tom, Dan, Andy, Mac and Bob P (hope I didn't leave anyone out) for the cards and/or the pleasure of their company. THANKS EVERYONE!! After the show, I met up with Leah Greco and daughter Erica and we all went to see a movie (the Pink Panther on with Steve Martin). It was pretty good, although it doesn't come close to the hilarious Peter Sellers flicks as I expected. I got some rest and headed for home the next morning. I went back using the normal route and the trip that took over six hours on Friday was a much more bearable journey that clocked in at just under five hours. I immediately took a nap when I got in, since I had to work that night and make up for the two previous days I had missed. Things at work didn't turn out as bad as I though they were going to, since the guy who I asked to replace me Saturday night didn't feel like showing up. That's right, I like it better when NOBODY comes in and 'helps'. That way I don't have to spend most of the next night fixing everything they screwed up the night before. I was also helped out by the fact that the reset team (a/k/a the S. M. A. R. T. team - which is the definition of an oxymoron if you ever heard one) was coming in that morning to reset the cheese section and I wouldn't have to stock it. I could go on for hours about the skill level of the reset team and whatever they get paid is a colossal waste of company money, but this is already long enough. Safe to say that the damage they did has been erased and the shelves were pretty much returned to the way I had them before they came in. Now for other news... about a week ago, I put in a bid on a Larry Doby card for my 1948-49 Leaf set. Doby is one of the last three I need along with Kell and Sauer for the set. This card was pretty nice looking and I had just recently gotten outbid on one with a crease in it and soft corners at $800. So I didn't expect my high bid of $1000 to hold up too long, especially when someone else put in a bid of $999.99 just a couple hours later. Well, for six days I waited for that person to put in another bid to top me... it never came. I also expected a third party to outbid the both of us at the last minute (since cards in lesser condition had gone for over $1200). Not a single bid in six days. So very much to my surprise, I won the Doby card by a single penny. I immediately thought 'shill bidding', since the seller has about 10 feedbacks, but I don't think the lot was shilled as far as I can tell. They either dropped the ball on rebidding (since they had to have known that the bidding increment at that stage is more than a penny) or were absolutely committed to not paying more than a grand for the card. Also throwing a wrench into things... somewhat literally, is my car. Just before I left, I noticed a small leak in the radiator. This had probably been the case for quite a while actually, but I probably drove it around without a lot of antifreeze in it for a while. It made the trip down to Philly and back without a lot of trouble though and it probably wouldn't have been so bad if I didn't try to mess with the crack in the radiator (and refill the antifreeze). Well, now it starts smoking like it was overheating (although it wasn't running hot) and my driveway and normal parking spot at work has little puddles of antifreeze. This morning I took it down to the mechanic to finally get it fixed. Once he got it up on the lift, he noticed that I needed a new axle and a tie rod too. I thought it felt kinda funny taking a left turn once in a while but didn't think much about it. Turns out I was rather fortunate, since he said the tie rod just popped out when he touched it. For those of you who are as mechanically inclined as I am, a tie rod really isn't all that important - unless you believe in being able to STEER your car. Well, I'm taking the night off from work tonight and taking a break from typing for a while too (so you can catch up on reading this). Congrats to those of you who made it to the bottom of this one and thanks for letting me vent a little. Them having lot #131 is what confused you. If you bid $45 then someone bid $44 or $44.50 probably so just relist them if it isn't what you thought. Or ask the seller to make a 2nd chance offer to the other guy. The other guy probably will not accept because he will suspect shill bidding (thinking you were a friend of the seller intentionally running the bid up). Good luck. BTW, someone (an OBCer?) reeled in over 100 USFL cards for like .10 each from http://www.SimsClassicSports.com the other day when they had a 30% off deal. I tried to pick up a few Oklahoma Outlaws & San Antonio Gunslingers but it said they were already in a cart. Then when I checked the other USFL cards, I got the same note. Later I went back & of coysre they were not een listed. I know this is technically UV, but you have got to hear this. Like most of you, I read the backs of the cards. As many as I can. I like it, and it makes it take longer to open the packs :) If you are opening any 2006 Topps, or just collecting Mets, check out card #218 of former BoSox Doug Mientkiewicz. As I flipped the card over, I was wondering if there would be any reference to the '04 WS ball saga. In the upper left there is a cartoon on each card, and sure enough, this one has an angry looking baseball-with-face. Under the baseball it says, and I quote... "Doug caught a pop-up for the last out of the 2004 world series." So, my question is, how the hell does that happen? You would think that is in charge of coming up with stuff to put on the back of these cards is enough of a fan to know what happend, or at least to make sure they are right when the come up with something? A couple days ago, we had inventory at the store. Basically what this means is that I have to stock whatever comes in and fix the shelves so they can be counted by the inventory team instead of the normal method of making everything pretty for the customers. Plus, I have to physically count and write down quantity and price for everything that ISN'T on the shelf - the dairy chest and all my backstock. Normally this isn't too much of a hassle, but a couple things conspired to make this a much bigger chore than it should have been. The store manager took it upon himself to order some extra sale items the week before inventory - a bunch of these were items that simply don't sell, even if you gave them away. I'll probably end up throwing them out after the expiration date in a couple weeks, but I had to organize and count them anyway. Another problem I had was that I'm basically doing this all by myself and since I've barely had time to get the stock on the shelf, I had nothing done towards finishing when I went in that night (whereas the grocery department had the whole back room counted and ready days before). Not only that, but all the 'help' was being sent to the frozen department - which I must admit was in worse shape than me, but at least they had the entire ice cream chest counted when I walked in. Long story short - I was still there an hour after everyone else had left. I don't mind the overtime (which is rare), but I hate driving home at 8AM instead of 7. This point became evident at an intersection where I was about third in line at the light. The light went green and I followed the other cars across the intersection... when out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a car that seemed to be going a little fast to safely stop for the red light he had. Well, he didn't even slow down and passed just between the car in front of me and myself. Lucky for him I didn't opt to have the factory put in those front mounted machine guns or he would've been toast (one less idiot on the roadways). The good thing about going home in the morning is that I get to go home and to bed, while the people I cut off on the way home get to stew about it all day at work. I wish people would wake up before they decided to drive into work though. The next night proved to be even more fun. I had just punched in when I got paged on the PA to come to the front of the store. Usually this is because there's some problem with the registers and I have a knack for being able to fix them... or the number to call someone who can ;-) Apparently, there was no cashier in the building. We have two overnight cashiers and oddly they had both shown up the night before - now neither was here. On top of that, the person who was supposed to close out left a half hour early (something they're not supposed to do unless it's an emergency) and left the cashier drawers outside of the locked and alarmed cash office (a huge no-no). Luckily, we have those self scan registers, so I was converted to a very well paid bagboy (and customer baby-sitter), while the night crew chief made a few phone calls. We then learned from the assistant store manager that there was always a cash drawer in one of the registers and got numbers from him so I could sign onto the register. We shut sown the self scan and I then became probably the highest paid cashier in the company - something I had done before, but not in at least ten years... and there's a bit of training involved (electronic payment, WIC, recognizing different produce), none of which I had taken (and even if I had, I would've probably forgotten it all by now). Fortunately, we were able to track down one of the REAL cashiers and I only had to ring for an hour. Unfortunately, this set me back an hour in what I was SUPPOSED to be doing and I made up for it in the morning - and got out an hour late again. Thankfully, there weren't any near accidents on the way home this time, but I was physically and mentally exhausted. I was glad to have last night off and the mail brought even more First, I got a puffy from Mac Wubben, who I met up with at the last Ft. Washington show. He had mentioned how he happened to have the biggest football card on my list and over the week, we worked out a trade for some dupe T205's I had - so now the rookie card of Joe Willie Namath rests comfortably in my binder. THANKS MAC!! Also arriving from OBC was a very sharp Philadelphia (the company, not the city) Redskin from Mark Z., who added a couple other just as sharp cards that I used to find in boxes of Devil Dogs about 20 years ago. THANKS MARK!! Finally, from eBay comes one of the biggest baseball cards on my list - a 48-49 Leaf Doby that is WAY too nice for my set. I'm seriously thinking of getting this slabbed and selling it for a fortune on eBay. On a related note, check out item (8778477111) to see what I mean. Not only can't I believe someone would pay 16 grand for a card of Frank Gustine, but how is this considered 'one of the Holy Grails of card collecting'? Now I would think T206 Wagner, 52 Mantle, 33 Goudey Ruth or Lajoie... but Frank Gustine? Imagine how much he would've sold that for if Frank had hit better than .247 in 1948! It's a good thing I already tracked down that card (and for over $15,750 less) before the prices really go through the roof. Anyway, I've rambled long enough for now. Thanks for shopping... er, reading this nonsense. I was there for the annual gathering of radio & TV producers, hospital representatives, corporate sponsors, and bigwigs associated with the Children's Miracle Network. As the Producer of our station's CMN telethon, I was lucky enough to be on hand. In addition to seminars & workshops, we're treated to big-time entertainment: this year we had concerts by LeAnn Rimes, KC & the Sunshine Band, The Wiggles (a hugely popular kids' group from Australia), and country artist Tracey Bird. I got to meet Marie Osmond (a picture will follow!) & got to speak briefly to John Schneider. All of this to get us energized to gear up for the upcoming telethon, which will air the first weekend in June in many television markets. So, where does the OBC member in the subject line come into play, you might ask? Well, at one of the workshops ("TV Producer's Bootcamp"), we were shown some examples of effective patient stories done at some of the stations around the country. As I was watching the story of a young child treated in a Pennsylvania hospital, the voice-over announcer mentions this kid's doctor - a fellow named Neal Thomas. I say to myself "hey - this is a Pennsylvania TV station, OBC's Neal Thomas is a Pediatrician at Penn State Children's Hospital - HOLY COW, I KNOW THIS GUY! Then Dr. Neal himself, in his white lab coat with "DR. NEAL J. THOMAS" in big bold letters on the front, appears on screen to give an interview about the patient. How cool is that? So Neal - it was great to "see" you in Orlando. For the rest of you, here's a shameless pitch: if you have a Chldren's Hospital near you, PLEASE consider making a donation, either during the telethon, or during a radiothon when they're held in your town. These hospitals are amazing, and man, when you get to see how the smallest of patients deal with adversity with courage and big smile on their faces, you'll just melt. I'm not ashamed to admit I cried quite a bit this past weekend over some of the sadder stories, but Children's Hospitals are out there every day, battling to give these kids a better life - and they're succeeding. Finally, I'll wrap this up with a pat on my own back: I won an award! At the TV awards, a piece I did won kudos and a huge plaque for Most Creative Editing. John Schneider, he of "Smallville" and "Dukes Of Hazzard" fame, (and co-founder of Children's Miracle Network) gave me the award & told me how much he liked it. That was my weekend - now back to the every day grind (and incoming snow.) Red Sox Game opinions.. Heya guys, I need the expert advice on what to do about Mets/Red Sox tix. The prices have me narrowed down to the Thursday game 6/29. I have an opportunity to get 1 ticket for $150.00 in, I believe section 6 (upstairs behind home plate). My other options are on ebay. I can buy it now 4 tickets at about $60 bucks apiece out in Section 38 Row 34. If I go this route, any other guys who want to go (I'd probably have 2 maybe the third ticket available) can get in the Third idea is on ebay for about $60 bucks I can get two tickets section 41 row 43, I may have one ticket available if I go this route. Do you think it's worth the $150 for the real good seats? Would any of the OBC boys in the area be into going to the game for about $60 bucks? How much trouble would it be to unload a ticket or two at the game for what I paid (which I'm sure is above face)? What time are the duckboat rides (NOW that is a major question for me)... I figure on getting to Boston on Wednesday, and leaving sometime Friday. (ok cheap hotels in the area are also needed). I'm kind of leaning toward the 4 tickets so I can share my first Fenway experience with my OBC friends. I think that would be way cool, even if the seats aren't the best (I can always do the Fenway tour before the game). I'm so close I can taste it.... ================= Date: Thu, 23 Mar 2006 18:42:13 EST To: obc-ramblings@yahoogroups.com From: ChicoD1@aol.com Subject: The National Ok kids, Been doing some research... Look for those and some stuff for Sarah and Benjamin, too.
