================= To: OBC Annoucements Date: Tue, 1 Aug 2017 01:31:49 +0000 Subject: July report From: Joe Isaac Hi OBCers, Here is the July report from the OBCAC. 1. Set a time limitation on Inactive membership status to three (3) years. A person assigned by the AC will contact all Inactive members to get confirmation from each Inactive member to stay on the Inactive list. After the contact has been made, each Inactive member will need to respond within three (3) years to remain on the Inactive listing, otherwise they will be removed from the directory and would need to reapply using the membership application to rejoin OBC. The date upon which the Inactive member agrees will be documented on the directory listing or provided to the OBCAC - PASSED7-0 2. Dave Luciano and Bernie Pulk were accepted into the group and are listed on the Directory page. Remember, if you want the AC to consider anything card or site related, send a note to the Ramblings server, the OBCAC or me . Your AC members are Sal Domino, Joel Freedman, Spike Glidden, Ken Morganti, Nick Pelletier, Mike Rich and Wes Shepard - Grant Rainsley (alternate member). Please don't panic, the world is not ending yet. Wayne and I will investigate and get back as soon as we can. Joe Isaac ================= To: OBC Annoucements Date: Fri, 4 Aug 2017 01:58:37 +0000 Subject: Re: Site down - Update From: Joe Isaac Hey everyone, Network Solutions, our host server, found the problem was a high level of spam email detected and being sent from a script on our site; as a result, website access was suspended. That file has been deleted and the site, according to Network Solutions, could take up to 24 - 48 hr to resolve. Wayne requested to get the website reactivated as soon as possible. Both Wayne and I have backups to the site in case. We apologize for any inconvenience and will keep you posted. Joe Isaac ================= To: OBC Annoucements Date: Sat, 12 Aug 2017 03:57:13 +0000 Subject: Re: Website maintenance - completed From: Joe Isaac Update: the maintenance is complete. - Deleted from the address list are work phone, aim, fax - The home and cell number entries were made consistent with the format (area code) xxx-xxxx. International numbers have not been corrected for (yet). - The date of birth is now listed as the month and day; the birth year has been eliminated for security reasons. - The new member application was updated a few days ago: No more entries for work phone and aim; placeholders were added in the application to have phone and cell numbers as (xxx) xxx-xxxx; the date of birth is in the formatof mm/dd/yyyy. Once the application is approved, the year will be removedwhen added to the directory listing. For those who do not have a birth month and day listed, you are welcome to add. There will be a few more updates in the next week or so. Back to your regular schedule. Joe Isaac ================= To: OBC Annoucements Date: Sat, 12 Aug 2017 04:43:37 +0000 Subject: Re: Website maintenance - completed From: Joe Isaac One more comment about the new format: when you go to Update OBC Profile Information to update your birthday, please use the format "Mon Day" (without the quotes) where Mon is the first 3 letters of the month and Day is either 1 or 2 digits. I will work on fixing that format in the next round of updates. For any phone updates, please use the format "(area code) 555-1212" (without the quotes); as above I will fix that to force this format. Someone already asked about the mailing address - this will be corrected inthe next update as well. It's late and I need to wake up early in a few hours.
