Joe Isaac To: obc-announcements@yahoogroups.com From: jwi62@hotmail.com Date: Mon, 28 Jan 2013 21:37:36 -0500 Subject: [OBC-Announcements] 2013 OBCAC Elections - call for Nominations Hi everyone, Election time for your new AC is here. I will act as the election commissioner this year, accepting nominations from February 1 until February 14 for candidates for one (1) non-voting OBCAC Facilitator and for seven (7) OBCAC voting members and one (1) alternate voting member. Members shall serve on the OBCAC for a one-year term, beginning March 1, 2013 until February 28, 2014. You must be nominated by a group member, as self-nominations will not be accepted. It is required to have the potential nominee's permission before submitting his name for consideration. A member may be nominated for both the non-voting and voting positions on the ballot. Should any member be elected to both positions, he will only be able to serve in one capacity; the next highest vote getter will then be considered elected for the postion declined by the top vote getter. Any member of OBC for three (3) years or more is considered to be qualified to run for a position on the OBCAC. INACTIVE members are not allowed to be nominated nor serve on the OBCAC. Please copy me at jwi62@hotmail.com on two e-mails: the nomination email - from an OBC member nominating a candidate for facilitator and/or voting member (again, only after receiving permission to nominate that candidate) with OBC NOMINATION in the subject line 2) the acceptance email - from the nominee accepting the position on the ballot with OBC ACCEPTANCE in the subject line. I have received both e-mails, I will contact both parties indicating that their candidate will be on the ballot. If I don't hear from both sides by February 14, I will assume that the person is not interested in running the office. Inactive members are eligible to both nominate candidates and to vote in the Voting will begin on February 15 and run through February 28. I will emailinstructions on the 15th and if you have any questions about the elections, please email me.
