His name is Joe Adriance, and his application is up on the OBC website. As always, comments from EVERYONE areencouraged - especially so from anyone who has had dealings with Joe. If you've been hit on the head by a foul ball & can't remember how to get to the application: 1)Go to the website (oldbaseball.com for those of you have been hit by too many foul balls); 2) Click on the "directory" tab; 3) When the Directory page loads, click on "View New OBC Applications"; 4) selct yor name from the first dro-down menu, and then enter your password in the 2nd drop-down; 5) Click on "display" next to Joe's name. While his prospective sponsors have chimed in (thanks guys), and at least one other member has commented, remember that this is YOUR club too, and you do have a voice. So if you've ever dealt with Joe, or just have a comments about his application - or even a question - PLEASE post something. The AC members will eventually vote, but we need as much feedback as we can get. That is all. (If this came across as cranky, you'll have to forgive me; I've just listened to Nick Massett blow his third game in a week for my Reds as they fall to the Fathers of San Diego.) ================= To: OBC Annoucements Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2011 19:01:03 -0400 From: Joe Isaac Subject: OBCAC April report Hi everyone, April was a busy month for the AC and here is what they decided on: 1. Glenn will poll the group on what should be best regarding the Thanks server. Everyone will be asked to provide input on the appropriate use of the Thanks server. Glenn will provide details in the next week. 2. Mac will police the Thanks server. There have been reoccuring instances over the past year of inappropriate thanks, i.e. thanking non-OBCer's andspecific UV thanks. Mac will send a gentle email reminder on the proper thanks to those who send out these messages. 3. Over the past several years, our inactive list has grown while the active membership has dropped steadily. There was a sharp drop in active membership in August 2008 due to the large number of non-responders to the membership poll. We really haven't recovered from this drop and it just may take a while. In an effort to recruit new members, the AC encourages the group to help increase the active OBC membership list. 4. Before the AC can vote on a new member application, the AC decided all the sponsors for the new applicants need to reply with feedback. 5. A few members asked about trades and the AC said there is no policy against making trades for the "high priced" cards. Remember, if you want the AC to consider a topic of interest, please post it to the Ramblings server or send an email to the advisory group. Your AC members are Glenn Codere, Mike Diamanti, Tom Housley, Ken Morganti, Mike Rich, George Vrechek and Mac Wubben.
