Per the ROC, here is a description of the membership poll: The OBCAC shall appoint an OBC member to conduct the membership poll. Twicea year, in January and in July this appointee will send to the active membership an email that must be responded to in order to maintain active membership status. Any member who does not respond to the membership poll will be moved to inactive status, removed from the active OBC Directory and placed on a separate Non-active / Alumni Roster which will also be accessible from the main Directory page. Inactive members are not required to respond tothe membership poll. Any inactive member who wishes to return to active status can do so by simply making a request of the OBCAC for reinstatement. The OBCAC has asked me to conduct the poll this year in accordance with the rules. All active members are required to respond to this poll to remain on the active roster. You have 3 choices and you may respond: YES - Please keep me on the active roster of OBC. NO - I do not wish to be active, please place me on the inactive list. NO - I am leaving OBC, please remove me from the group. We will keep the poll open for 2 weeks until February 1, 2010 which should be time for all active members to respond. All members who do not respond will be given a final notice and then placed on the inactive list by default. (I'll also try to reach non-responders by phone, in case they are in email "limbo" during the next 2 weeks.)
