The AC voted on it and passed the motion 6-1 to press ahead. Grant will take it from here, but I'll just say have fun with it and think how cool it is to have the cards stay in OBC and benefit our good By the way, the AC also voted to send a gift basket to the Kilbourns out of the Treasury. Please keep Earl and his wife in your thoughts this week. Take Care, Geno ================= To: , Date: Wed, 7 Dec 2005 06:35:43 -0000 From: "geno.wagner" Subject: Yahoo Server Problems?? OBCers -- I think there are some problems with the servers at the moment. It seems like many of the messages are not going out. I don't think it's just me, because other guys have missed messages as well. I sent out a note on Ramblings to highlight it, but I didn't get the email back through the server. I'm only getting about 2/3 of the emails right now I think. Of course, the quandry is "how do you tell people the email isn't working if the email isn't working?" I have decided to send this out to all the servers hoping that some will get through to alert folks to the potential problem. Again, it could just be me, but I don't think it is. If you haven't seen the emails about EEK and Grant's upcoming auction, please log onto Yahoo and check out the news. I'd hate for anybody to miss out on another OBC project to benefit one of our own! Sorry for the inconvenience of multiple messages, but I think it needs a bit of troubleshooting! A special thanks goes out to Grant for running that - great work my friend! Also, the AC has voted in a new member (by a vote of 6-0) - so everyone please welcome Brian Betza to the fold! Peter, could you let Brian know and get him set up with his mentor (Joe Geordie, Mark, Joe, Wayne - could you guys add him to the Directory, servers, and website? One last thing - my thanks (and yours too, I hope!) for this year go out to the following guys who have provided OBC with some great, low-fee services! Bob Donaldson -- AC member and Treasurer Spike Glidden -- AC member John Harrell -- AC member Jim Hatch -- AC member Brian Lindholme -- AC member Ken Morganti -- AC member Mike Rich -- AC member Peter Iversen -- New Member Coordinator Geordie Calvert -- Keeper of the Directory Joe Isaac and Wayne Delia -- Website Gurus Mark Talbot -- Keeper of the Servers One more last thing - the OBCAC elections will be in February. I need a volunteer to be the Election Commissioner. It needs to be somebody who has no inclination to run for election, or someone that has less than three years in OBC and is therefore not eligible to run. That's about it for this year. Remember to bring anything up that you'd like to see discussed in the Ramblings servers. That's the best forum for it, and the AC can get a feeling for the membership's views. Your OBCAC is: Bob Donaldson, Spike Glidden, John Harrell, Jim Hatch, Brian Lindholme, Ken Morganti, and Mike Rich Take Care, Geno ================= To: Date: Wed, 28 Dec 2005 17:03:49 -0500 From: "Bob Donaldson" Subject: DZK Auction I just wanted to remind those of you who haven't paid for their auction winnings to please try and do so ASAP.
