As per OBC rules, I am informing the membership so you can make any comments. Please respond by Monday, since I will forward any comments to the OBCAC, which will then vote. Thanks for your help. I am sending this across all the lists so everyone will be covered. Since I am in charge of the reinstatment process with the OBCAC, I now formally put his name back out there to the group for comments, and we will get it back to the OBCAC (is there such a thing as reinstatement by acclamation?). We also have Mike Kinney to reconsider, we have gotten some feedback already and I think we can wrap both of these guys up by Monday at the latest. Let's hear from you. ================= Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2001 07:40:33 -0500 To: obc-announcements@yahoogroups.com Subject: Sad news - 3 members leaving From: Dan Austin This year's membership poll leaves us 3 members leaner as Mr. Czape, Mr. Skelley and Mr. Rosen bid us farewell. Thanks, guys, for helping to make OBC the great community that it is today. We wish you the best! - The OBCAC ================= Date: Mon, 24 Dec 2001 12:27:10 EST Subject: Your OBCAC in action, on the job, at your service To: OBC-Announcements@yahoogroups.com From: WMDpks@aol.com On behalf of the entire Old Baseball Cards Advisory Committee, I would like to wish everyone a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season. Give a good thought to how lucky we all are to have each other, how much we enjoy our hobby, and light a candle (or any other thoughtful gesture) for those who were affected by the September 11 tragedy. The OBCAC is seriously considering how to deal with some current controversial comments on the OBC-Ramblings server, and if I can make a personal observation, I am genuinely impressed by the restraint, maturity, and effectiveness of these guys you've elected to guide the group. We'll resolve this situation, even if we have to work through the holidays. More details will be following after Christmas, but please know we're not putting this on the back burner.
